Division 6 is currently hiring across specialist including the Tropical Medicine and Infection Unit and Gynaecology.
We are extremely passionate about getting it right for patients and their families and in order to achieve this we are looking to employ enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate band 5 registered nurse. As a member of our team, you will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary teams.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tropical Medicine and Infection Unit at BHH, Birmingham for compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurses or soon to be qualified nurses to join our team. We are a 47 bedded unit with dedicated and supportive staff that have an interest and passion in Tropical Medicine and Infection.
We are extremely passionate about getting it right for patients and their families and in order to achieve this we are looking to employ enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurses. As a member of our team, you will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary teams. Ward 28 is a busy and dynamic ward specialising in Infectious Diseases. We have expertise in the management of resistant tuberculosis, complex HIV, viral hepatitis, orthopedic bone & joint infections and infections acquired during travel to tropical regions. We are currently one of the Covid 19 wards within the trust.
You should be committed and passionate about providing a high standard of nursing care with a keen interest in achieving new skills. In return as a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive, friendly team who are passionate about making staff feel valued and motivated. The posts are both part time and full time positions to work up to 37.5 hours per week. Shifts consist of long days, early shifts/late shifts and night shifts.

Qualifications
Essential
Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC Register
Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC
Experience
Essential
Previous/recent experience or working in an acute secondary NHS care setting (can include student placements within the last 12 months )
Evidence of achievements and career development in current post and of on-going professional development/competence
Experience of working on own and in a team in a health care environment delegating to others within a team/providing supervision to others
Willingness to become a practice supervisor/assessor to or meets Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for student supervision and assessment
Understanding and knowledge of the NMC code of conduct
Understanding of preceptorship and work based learning and assimilation of skills and knowledge
Awareness of current relevant NHS policy context
Understanding/experience of the principles of safeguarding and Mental Capacity
Awareness of health and safety issues
