Job summary
This is very exciting opprtunity to join the busy Clinical Site Team. The Site Co-ordinator works primarily across all inpatient ward areas under the direction of the Clinical Site Managers to ensure the timely flow of patients between the Emergency Departments (ED), assessment units and inpatient areas.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
The post holder will ensure any barriers to timely patient admission or discharge are resolved or escalated appropriately to ensure smooth patient flow within the hospital site, working within agreed procedures and protocols.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to minimum NVQ Level 4 /equivalent qualification plus substantial experience/ knowledge to degree level equivalent and
- Minimum English qualification - GCSE grade A-C/ 4-9
Experience
Essential
- Significant knowledge in administrative processes and procedures with experience to respond to non-routine queries
- Experience of working in a large complex organisation
- Experience of using full range of IT systems and patient data systems
- Experience of Microsoft Office software e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of bed management or in any role aimed at enabling patient flow
- Experience of scheduling appointments and/or admissions e.g. Outpatients
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Experience of handling complaints
- Demonstrable evidence of being able and willing to understand our Trust values of respect, kindness, excellence and safety, with behaviour which reinforces these values
