Job description
This post offers an exciting opportunity for a psychology graduate with an interest in neuropsychology to work with a multidisciplinary team providing assessment and post-diagnostic support to older adults presenting with cognitive difficulties in South Gloucestershire. There will also be opportunities for the post holder to develop skills in providing therapeutic interventions for service users presenting with functional mental health distress within the Therapies Team and Homecare Liaison services.
Additionally, the post offers the opportunity to input into the different aspects of post-diagnostic care provided within the service including group sessions focusing on living well with dementia.
The post holder will be based at Kingwood Civic Centre. The successful candidate may be required to travel within the geographical area, as required to deliver interventions as per need.
Successful applicants will have completed a degree upper second or first class degree Psychology conferring a Graduate Basis for Registration and have appropriate post-graduate clinical experience; preferably with older adults. Applicants with clinical experience or qualifications in neuropsychology would be very welcome. The post is well suited to an individual with excellent communication, organisational and time management skills as well as being team orientated and highly proficient in computer literacy.
