University Hospitals Birmingham NHS (National Health Service) Trust is a large organisation consisting of 4 acute hospitals and number of community locations.
The trusts Capital Planning and Development Team are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to support the management of projects, data, and timelines as part of a developing Space Management Team. This will involve the efficient management of updating space allocation data for all buildings and ensuring all development projects are accurately informed. This will include on site investigations and completing reports for the Senior Project Manager.
This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team looking to expand its record management systems and create robust request and reporting processes, in line with current and future modernisation.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
The post holder will work in a supportive role to the Senior Project Manager to support the implementation, development and delivery of tasks related to the Space Management Team, utilising a comprehensive understanding of NHS Projects.
The Space Management Team provides support to multiple projects where the allocation of space and space information is an enabler to support service modernisation.
The prime responsibilities will be to co-ordinate and monitor activities and tasks emanating from Space Management Team and Space Planning Group.
The Assistant Project Manager will be required to build, configure, train and support users with space solutions. Therefore, the Assistant Project Manager should have a good technical awareness of space management systems, concepts, and requirements.
Work with divisional and corporate representatives to conduct investigations and develop papers in line with space allocation and utilisation principles, papers will be reviewed by Senior Project Manager.
At all times providing a high-quality service to ensure that standards are maintained and monitored to improve project outcomes, contributing to improving improved healthcare for our communities.

Qualifications
Essential
Project Management Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through any combination of alternative study, employment, or voluntary work
OR
Evidence of experience in health care project management

Significant experience working with MS Office applications such as Outlook, Visio, Word and Teams
Experience of managing and communicating complex information
Experience in data recording and report production
Experience working with NHS operational and clinical management
