Occupational Therapy Assistant in Orthopaedics and Surgery
(15 hours a weekend, 0.4 WTE Band 4)
An opportunity has arisen within the Therapy Department at West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for an individual with a passion to make a difference for patients on our Orthopaedic and Surgical Wards at Watford General Hospital.
This post is based in the inpatient Orthopaedic and Surgical therapy team, working alongside qualified Occupational Therapists.
The post is a weekend post working Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm.
The post holder will be expected to work with some level of autonomy, managing their own caseload of non-complex patients, with access to supervision from qualified Therapists.
This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, dedicated therapy team, striving to improve our service. This post holder will be based at Watford General Hospital working on acute wards helping patients to return home from the hospital.

The Therapy Assistant post would suit an individual with experience of assisting patients with rehabilitation goals, supporting patient discharges and providing equipment that may help patients regain independence. If you have this experience, in a social or health care setting and would like to develop your skills in Surgical and Orthopaedic care, we would welcome you to apply.
