The Biomedical Science team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 4 Medical Lab Assistant in Nottingham. As a Medical Lab Assistant, you will make a real difference in supporting the laboratory's cellular pathology service. If successful, you will work full-time hours across the week including late shifts between 13:30 - 21:30. This role is available to start on 9/1/2023; the pay rate for this job is £14-19 per hour.

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?
As a Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you will be expected to be proficient in microtomy able to cut over 30 blocks and hour to a high standard; alongside having experience in embedding and staining.
On a day to day basis you will be supporting the senior biomedical scientists in the delivery of the service and providing guidance to junior members of staff.

- HCPC registered
- Microtomy experience
- Blood Transfusion Lab experience
- Winpath LIMS experience
- BioRad platform experience
