A full-time vacancy has opened for a Radiographic Department Assistant to join our team in fluoroscopy and interventional radiology at Watford General Hospital.
Duties include welcoming all patients and service users to the department.
Administrative processes for examination completion and managing the patient flow through the department.
Preparing the examination rooms and equipment for interventional cases.
Assisting the Radiologists and Radiographers during procedures.
Booking patients in for their examinations and directing to the relevant sub waiting areas.
Answering telephone queries and other general clerical duties.
Assisting with the transfer teams to move and direct patients around the department.
Working hours include a mixture of days and weekends with some evening requirements.
The duties and responsibilities of the post holder are to be an effective member of the Radiology team, providing a high standard of imaging service to our patients and Radiology staff colleagues.
This post is ideal for strong communicators who enjoy being part of a close-knit team, whilst maintaining wider professional relationships with many disciplines within the hospital.

To assist Radiology staff in the provision of radiology services and assist Radiologists in specialised areas of work.
To provide direct patient care, maintenance of equipment and administrative duties including reception and clerical tasks, to ensure a high quality of service for patients.
The post holder will help maintain the professional standards of the department and undertakes a range of delegated radiography-related duties
