Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to work as part of the Acute care team on saffron ward

Saffron is a male acute ward we have service users who have functional mental health illness .You would be working with patients on a group and one to one basis and will require practical and creative skills in order to promote independence and to improve overall emotional wellbeing.

You will be supported by the ward Occupational Therapist and will receive regular management supervision and clinical supervision. Training and development will be provided in line with discussed development reviews.

We would require someone to have NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and a good understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy / provision of activities within a mental health setting.

Overall we are looking for a motivated and confident member of staff who wants to work within a recovery and person centred model
