Hello, My name is Julie and I am the ward manager of STEPs Inpatient Eating Disorder unit.
I am currently looking for motivated peoplethathave an interest in Eating Disorders to join our team at our unit atBlackberryHillHospital
Support will be given by the Ward Manager and by peers. We have brilliant supervision structures in place. This post is filled with developmental opportunities. Through this support there is the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in eating disorders, and in increase your competency in your role as a Health care support role.
Meal and snack supervision
Assisting the Nurse in charge with NEWS
Observations and Engagement for all patients
1-1 levels of Observations
Post meal and snack supervision
1-1 time with patients and attending groups
Escorting leave

To work as part of a care team to deliver evidence-based interventions to service users with mental health problems.
To develop and practice, working alongside registered clinicians, a set of therapeutic care skills, making a significant contribution to service users’ psychological, emotional and social wellbeing.
To ensure service users and their relatives receive care that prioritises safety, effectiveness, partnership and hope.
To promote and champion core care values by supporting junior, temporary and newly-appointed Healthcare Support Workers
