Our team have told us what they need from their employer - and we've listened. If you are looking for hours to fit around your family; we can tailor our offering to you. This could be working school hours, weekends only, condensed hours or maybe it's just keeping your interest in nursing by working one shift a week. All we ask for is that you provide the very best care to our Patients and work with our Teams to ensure patient safety and compliance.

We are looking for a Health Care Assistant who wishes to work independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses and have the ability to work on their own initiative whilst demonstrating compassion and commitment to improving lives of Solihull residents, at the same time as developing their career within community services.

You will need to have a minimum of an NVQ level 2 qualification in health care and recent experience of working within a nursing setting. You will also need to hold a full UK driving licence and be a car owner/ driver.

There is also exciting opportunity of career progression for candidates that are successful with Trainee Nurse Associate (TNA) programme.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The role involves delivering clinical interventions under the supervision and guidance of registered nursing staff to patients within their home environment who can have very complex needs. Our District Nursing teams work closely with specialist nurses, GPs, Therapists and Social Work teams in providing and facilitating collaborative support and care to patients and their families and in preventing avoidable hospital admissions.

The individuals we are looking for will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative and have the ability to embrace the challenges of the changing and growing demands of the primary care setting.

Previous community experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided to the right candidates.

You will need to be able to meet the needs of this service by being available to work flexibly between the hours of 07:00 to 23:00 hours on a rota basis over a 7 day period and be able to drive. We do accept flexible working requests.

We have full & part time posts available.
