We would like to meet you and ensure that you are supported through the process. You will be invited to attend an introductory welcome session and number of supported activities, with an informal Interview, this will be held on Thursday 2nd March 2023 at various times, you will be informed of your specific arrival time.

We are a 24/7 service you will need to work days, Nights, weekends, Bank Holidays and on calls. These posts are permanent hours, full time and part time maybe available.

Candidates will need to undertake and pass the BKSB functional skills test before interview.

With a wide variety of theatres available across sites, future possibility to transfer between each site will enable you to experience a diverse career.

Sites include Solihull and Good Hope Hospital at present.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

As a Band 2 Theatre support worker you should be motivated, have a keen interest in the peri-operative environment and excellent communication skills. No experience is required for this post as full training and support will be given.

All new starters are supported in their work area by the theatres clinical education team as well as the theatres teams themselves.

In your application you must demonstrate your interest in Theatres/Theatre Support Worker role.

You will be required to cover a range of shifts, which will include weekends, bank holidays, early/late/night duty, and the out of hours on call services.

Recent previous experience in a care environment

Experience of working / participating as part of a team.

Evidence of ability to work using own initiative and under minimal supervision

Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the role and tasks involved

Can articulate the reasons for training/ standards of practice and behaviour and how these may be demonstrated / relate to patient care and safety

Shows enthusiasm for the role and is interested in working in a theatre environment
