We are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Band 2 Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our vibrant and fast paced organisation that seeks to sustain and improve the operational efficiency of injured service personnel by the provision of high-quality targeted rehabilitation.

Job description

Under supervision the HCA will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and deliver 24-hour care, on a shift rota basis, to patients providing both nursing and non-nursing duties.

Person specification

As the successful candidate your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with patient hygiene, elimination and mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking- whilst observing and reporting specific changes.
  • Perform and report clinical observations of a patient’s respiratory rate, oxygen saturations, heart rate, Blood Pressure (BP), temperature, Peak flow.
  • Perform basic life support, and work alongside practitioners in the emergency management of patients.
  • Demonstrate and confirm good practice in record keeping and confidentiality in accordance with military and Caldecott guidelines.

Selection process details
