Quay Bakery is an established family business in the beautiful Cornish seaside town of Fowey. We provide thousands of loyal customers with their daily bread and cake fix!
Since 2012 we have been baking traditional loaves, cakes, biscuits, pasties and pastries. Serving local residents and the tens of thousands of seasonal visitors, as well as many of the local pubs and restaurants.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced retail assistant to work at Quay Bakery in Fowey. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in many aspects of bread and cake preparation as well as customer service.
About the Job:
Retail assistant
- Set up the displays of freshly baked products every morning
- Process wholesale customer orders through our EPOS system
- Prepare the shop for opening, including setting up the cash register
- Keep the displays of products looking fantastic throughout the day
- Serve customers with our very wide range of sweet and savoury baked products
- Prepare, portion up and display cakes, biscuits and brownies in accordance with the company’s procedures and methods as instructed by your Supervisor
- Undertake general housekeeping duties in support of your section (eg. setting up and clearing away baking equipment, cleaning and organising fridges)
- Shifts of 6 to 8 hours Tues to Sat with some 06:30 starts. Sun and Monday off (except occasionally around Christmas and other special events) No evenings.
