We now have extra opportunities for Bakery assistants to join our new team specifically to help in the process of producing sponge cakes and loaf cakes.
As part of the team you will work with colleagues to maintain our high standards of product quality and cleanliness.
To be a successful Fatherson Bakery assistant you must demonstrate efficiency and high standards while focussing on food quality. You will be passionate about food, well organised, decisive, driven, and possess a keen attitude to learn and develop your baking experience and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of hand made and hand decorated sponge cakes and loaf cakes.
- Utilising our mixers, blenders, ovens, and other new equipment to create fantastic cakes such as sponge cakes, loaf cakes, tray bakes, cup cakes, fruit pies and so much more for our customers across the UK and internationally.
- Ability to be flexible to develop your skills and support our team of decorators and become trained in all areas of the bakery.
- Maintaining of our food safety quality records.
Skills required:
- Must have a passion for baking.
- Commitment to developing a career in baking.
- Good communication and being a team player.
- Focus on product quality and attention to detail.
- Flexibility as necessary to work outside of normal hours on overtime: early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
- Happy to work in a hands on environment which can include busy conditions and high volume turnover.
