Job description
Fables Coffee House is a small but very busy Coffee house in the heart of Edwinstowe.
Our opening hours are 9am until 4pm 7 days a week.
We are looking for a skilled and passionate baker to join our team.
As a baker, you will be responsible for creating delicious cakes, traybake & cinnamon rolls that will delight our ever expanding customer base.
This is a part time position, with the option for extra hours for the right person.
Shifts will be: Monday 7am - 3pm. Wednesday 7am - 3pm. Friday 7am until 2/3pm.
Shifts can be negotiated, depending how organised the successful candidate is.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, traybake and cinnamon rolls according to established recipes & quality standards.
- Decorate cakes and display all cakes and traybake for for our gusted to eat in or take away.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including proper storage & labelling of ingredients.
- To Monitor inventory levels & order what is needed for the bakery.
- Adhere to all health & safety & food safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Fables team to ensure timely delivery of baked goods to be displayed.
- To take orders of celebration cakes & to complete these in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a baker is essential, preferably in a face paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and familiarity with a variety ion cakes, traybake & some pastries.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality.
- attention to detail and a creative eye for decorating & presenting baked goods.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekend and holidays as required.
