Position: Baggage Handler – Bag Hall
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Manchester Airport
Salary: £22,932 to £24,024.
Shift Pattern: 6 on 3 off – Rotational
DHL Supply Chain works in partnership with easyJet in Manchester Airport's terminal 1 to provide all aircraft cleaning, baggage handling and ground handling services. Join our dynamic team in the bag hall, where precision and teamwork converge to ensure seamless travel experiences.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Manual handling and lifting of heavy baggage
- Organizing and directing bags towards their assigned destinations
- Performing security screenings and inspections
- Transferring luggage between the bag hall and aircraft
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, as you will be working closely with a diverse group of colleagues and airline personnel.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and outdoor environment, including various weather conditions.
WHAT DOES THE SECURITY PROCESS LOOK LIKE?
The successful candidate would need to complete the security vetting process with the airport to obtain a full airside ID. The vetting process includes a criminal record check, and you need to be able to provide the following information:
- Full 5 years address history
- Complete 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
- Evidence of your right to work in the UK, NI and proof of address
