Job description
We are looking for Operatives to join our busy distribution centre in Samlesbury.
How will you contribute?
- The successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of administrative, warehouse and inventory duties including:
- To receive / put away stock efficiently and accurately maximising location utilisation
- To pick and pack stock productively and accurately
- To consider the quality of work while completing tasks
- Utilising of RDT’s (radio data terminals) to scan stock during operational processes
- Data input and related administration of the on-site WMS and other systems
- Cycle counting of stock within the warehouse
- Checking of picked stock and assembled loads prior to loading and despatch
- A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site
What will you bring?
- Excellent IT skills
- Able to provide and understand the need for a high standard of customer service
- A proactive, flexible and "can do" attitude to resolve issues and challenges
- The individual needs to be able to demonstrate attention to detail and an accurate and precise way of working to ensure all documentation and data is correct.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and to show initiative
- The ideal candidates will possess a positive attitude with a keen and enthusiastic approach.
