BACKEND ENGINEER - LONDON/REMOTE
We are currently working with one of the most exciting international tech start ups around to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic BACK-END ENGINEER to build out the data infrastructure.
This is a tech leadership role overseeing data integration development and roadmap, working closely with customers and partners across the globe.
We are looking for someone who will make sure data integrations work consistently and have great UX. We need a candidate to drive future direction of data integrations, build integrations, consolidate pipelines, increase test coverage and develop better mechanisms for data transformation. Developing integrations is key to the success of our clients product (and is the biggest value proposition)
Ideal candidates with have a really strong engineering background and be extremely comfortable working with back-end data. You will aspire to work towards a leadership role and be an excellent communicator and collaborator. You will not be phased by working directly with customers and/or end users
You will be responsible for;
- Building a unified system to manage all data pipelines (including health checks and alerting)
- Working with clients and our customer success team to gather requirements and implement pipelines to pull data from various data sources
Qualifications and experience;
- Have 6+ years software engineering experience
- Have some experience with backend stack (Node/Typescript/Go/Python) and ideally also have experience with the modern data stack (dbt, Fivtetran, etc)
- Be able to write clean + maintainable code with attention to performance and security, but also be able to ship quickly + scrappily when the occasion calls for it
- Be comfortable shipping features end-to-end, from defining the product spec to deploying to production
- Worked at Series A-C startup
