WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Member Engagement team, you will play a pivotal role in Babylon's patient-centric operations. As a part of this team, you will contribute to various critical activities, including:
- Outreach Data Pipelines: You will contribute to the development and implementation of data pipelines that are used for targeted outreach campaigns to communicate important information to our patients.
- CRM Integration: You will be working with leading CRM platforms such as Braze and Salesforce, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data management.
- Patient Segmentation Engine: You will help develop our advanced patient segmentation engine to identify specific patient groups and tailor our outreach efforts accordingly.
- Population Explorer Tools: You will develop tools that are used to understand and analyse patient populations, which aids in making informed business decisions and strategies

Our Technology Stack

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
As the ideal candidate for the Back End Engineer position, you should possess the following characteristics:
- Expertise in modern Python or Java with a keen interest in creating and maintaining microservices.
- Experience working with relational databases, especially Postgres.
- Familiarity with data processing pipelines, particularly Kafka.
- Proven ability to write secure, scalable, and high-performing code in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and React is desirable but not mandatory. Willingness to learn these technologies, if required, is essential.
- A strong user-centric approach, with a focus on improving health outcomes for our users.
- Excellent team player with experience in Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
