We are recruiting for a Airport Manager on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join our welcoming and ambitious team.
The Airport Manager is responsible for delivery of all aspects of Euroflyer and BA’s ground operation and customer experience at Gatwick. The role is also responsible to supervise a team of Duty Managers aimed at delivering safe and punctual operations at Gatwick in line with business targets and expectations.
The role is expected to effectively manage ground service suppliers, our relationship with GAL, other service partners and stakeholders to meet and exceed targets relating to operational performance, safety and security, customer satisfaction, costs, compliance, ancillary revenue and delay avoidance within agreed targets and budget. It is also expected to ensure appropriate business continuity plans, SERP and processes are in place to mitigate risk to the Euroflyer and BA operations.
The essential criteria for this role are:
- Able to influence and negotiate with suppliers and external stakeholders, including at senior level, to ensure business needs are met.
- Able to quickly build effective relationships at all levels and across a broad mix of cultures.
- Able to motivate others to deliver business targets.
- Strong communications skills with the ability to present information clearly.
- Able to plan effectively to ensure that resources are effectively managed and efficiently utilised.
- Proven experience of managing multiple conflicting priorities
- Able to understand and interpret complex data to identify trends.
- Able to maintain control and a methodical approach when responding to emergencies, operational disruptions, and irregular operations.
- Able to support the business and operation outside of normal working hours when required, and to form part of an on-call roster.
- Multi-lingual in several European languages
- Numerate and able to handle and interpret operational data.
- Able to travel to locations throughout Europe.
- Able to hold a valid airside pass.
- Ability to hold a valid airside pass.
- Hold a full driving licence.
