We are recruiting for a Deputy Outstations Manager on a Permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join our welcoming and ambitious team and support with the smooth running of the airport for BA and BA Euroflyer.
Key accountabilities:
- Conduct Safety/Security Investigations where appropriate to assist in driving continuous improvements within Ground Operations.
- Provide support to the Outstation Network, including user administration, stationary ordering and Systems support where required.
- Regular travel to any airport across the BA Euroflyer network to support the department targets and business needs.
- Leading supplier change initiatives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Working with compliance and safety in addressing concerns, supporting investigations and audits.
- Support with ensuring operational readiness for new station openings and seasonal re-starts, as well
- Demonstrating flexibility, including potential for some short-notice travel, supporting other stations and LGW and work out of hours/weekend if required.
- Conduct a-hoc checks/inspections at LGW and outstations.
- Support the Ground Operations Emergency Response Plans across the network. Including attendance to airports/supplier’s meetings and coordinating Euroflyer participation to emergency exercises as required.
- Support compliance and safety in addressing concerns, supporting investigations and audits and follow ups with internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing and testing local business continuity plans for stations across the network.
The ideal criteria for this role:
- Experience of working within the aviation/airline industry.
- Ability to be flexible and support a broad range of requirements.
- Understanding of International Airport Operations.
- Able to understand Ground Operations both Above Wing and Below Wing
- Multi-lingual in several European languages
- Numerate and able to handle and interpret operational data.
- Able to travel to locations throughout Europe.
- Able to hold a valid airside pass.
- Hold a full driving licence.
