WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Pallet Repair Technician, you'll oversee the repair of pallets to a high standard, you will working as part of the pallet repair team at JLR Solihull site.

Key Responsibilities

• General Fitting, Welding and fabrication
• Inspection of own work to ensure quality compliance
• Responsible for identifying repairs required and carrying out any operations needed to make pallets serviceable
• Identifying spares required to repair damaged or broken pallets / Dollies
• Working inside production cells to fix and repair pallets supporting production requirements
• Measure and set inter op pallets using laser tracker to the required standard
• Forklift driving (training available)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

• Fully conversant with all aspects of welding and fabrication including Mig, Tig, Stick
• Plan their own manufacturing methods / operations and workflow to ensure the finished part is to specification
• Knowledge of manual measurement equipment to inspect and evaluate own work to ensure compliance to drawing tolerances
• The ability to read engineering drawings and interpret the manufacturing required, this must include understanding material specifications, welding parameters and specifications
• Must be able to work within a team
• Basic computer skills
• Willing to work a 3-shift pattern (if required)
