Job description
We are looking for a Nutritionist to join AWFC First Team. This role will be responsible for maximising AWFC player performance and recovery primarily through nutrition, whilst also collaborating with the wider team to ensure an optimal approach to player development.

Your day-to-day
- Creating global nutritional and recovery strategies for AWFC First Team Players.
- Setting, monitoring and maintaining optimal body weight composition of AWFC First Team Players.
- Proposing efficient integrative recovery strategies (Primarily Nutrition).
- Liaising with Chefs and kitchen staff regarding content and quality of product delivered at training ground.
- Working with host matchday venue to ensure optimal performance player outcomes.
- Travelling with team and ensuring travel strategies, meal timing,portions,macro nutrients are optimised for performance.
- Creating individual supplement strategies for the various needs of AWFC First Team Players and academy players when required.
- Preparing innovative educational material for Players.
- Utilising the Dexa-scan (all licenses/education required) to monitor body composition and Individually consulting and delivering interactive workshops.
- Experience organising/leading Team/Player recovery sessions.
What we are looking for
- A post-graduate qualification in Sport & Exercise Nutrition (e.g. MSc, IOC Diploma)
- Registered on the sports and exercise nutrition register.
- UKAD Clean Advisor
- Experience of working with athletes/coaches, providing nutritional support.
- Experience of planning, implementing, and monitoring interventions with elite athletes.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the demands of elite football.
- Sound understanding of physiological principles of sport & exercise.
- Excellent communication skills that can influence and motivate behavioural change.
- Ability to communicate complex information in simple terms, dependent on the audience.
- An innovative mindset within an evolving industry.
- Experience organising/leading Team/Player recovery sessions.
