Job description
We are looking for Academy Football Analysts on a casual basis for AWFC. The roles will be responsible for providing insightful performance analysis within the Academy, within a specified age category.

Your day-to-day
- Supporting with the creation of a review and analysis framework in line with the AWFC principles of play.
- Managing all footage and upload in a timely fashion to Hudl.
- Managing the distribution of 2/3x cameras on a weekly basis.
- Leading the coding and databasing of all fixtures to better aid the post-match review process.
- Supporting in the preparation of pre-match opposition analysis content.
- Assessing opposition performance trends via video.
- Providing feedback to coaches/players around game performance and areas of strength/improvement.
- Helping to drive a more reflective and evaluative culture within the Academy, amongst both players and coaches.
- Supporting in the delivery of a detailed, regular individual player review programme. This would include both the preparation of material, as well as the delivering of such work to both coaches and players.
- Coordinating with the relevant medical, physiotherapy, fitness and football staff regarding player performance.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience of working within professional football.
- Experience working at academy level.
- Able to accurately analyse multiple data streams.
- Experience in delivering and communicating performance insights
- Understanding of varying working methodologies and best practice within elite sports analysis
- Ability to link theory to practice in a practical environment
- Technical and tactical understanding of football (strategies, systems, philosophies, game models)
- Ability to adapt to emerging technologies and their application in automating working processes
- Undergraduate degree relating to the field of sports science, coaching and performance or performance analysis (desirable).
- FA Level 2 coaching license or above (desirable).
- Competencies in the following software/hardware are desired: Game On Technologies, SBG Match Tracker, HUDL Sportscode Elite and HUDL platforms, SBG Focus, ChyronHego CoachPaint
