Role
The Awards Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the growing Talent Relations and Awards team, working cross-functionally with various departments at Netflix across key film festivals and awards ceremonies globally.

The Awards Coordinator will report into the Awards & Talent Relations Manager - EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Awards Managers in all activity, including submissions, campaigning, programming, screenings, partnerships and events, with a particular focus on administration and logistics, including:
  • Implementing and streamlining administrative processes
  • Creating and updating documents and records
  • Sourcing and tracking submission assets, internally, and through outreach to producers, production companies, agents, heads of department etc
  • Organising and staffing screenings and internal events
  • Raising POs and handling invoices and contracts
  • Supporting the Pan - EMEA screenings programme - booking DCPs and venues, managing the creation of invitations, coordinating with the relevant UCAN team and external agencies
  • Awards publicity support - tracking and inputting coverage
  • Assisting with festival submissions, material and asset gathering and delivery
  • Ticketing, guest lists and logistics for Netflix attendance at external events, especially awards ceremonies.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional partners across the company (publicity, marketing, content, legal) and with external stakeholders (including production companies, awards bodies, voters, agencies and consultants)
  • Representing the team at events and meetings (internal and external)
  • Any other duties as necessary to support the department

Qualifications

  • We are looking for a team member who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and is eager and curious to dive into the work. They are scrappy, resourceful and relentless in trying to find solutions.

  • They will be able to communicate with a wide array of outside parties including but not limited to filmmakers, talent representatives, agencies, vendors, awards bodies and event leads to streamline communications and ensure the best possible representation of Netflix. They will be able to communicate confidently and effectively on an international level with partners from across the region and globally.

  • The ideal candidate has experience within the film or television industry in an administration role and has worked with awards in some way in the past. They will be ok with working evenings and weekends. Pack your bag because international travel is a requirement (sometimes at short notice!)

  • They are organized, thorough and able to use their judgement to prioritise and juggle multiple projects at once. They have a positive attitude, are proactive and a sound thinker who can maturely approach challenges and obstacles, and has strong attention to detail.

  • The successful candidate for Awards Coordinator will have 3+ years of entertainment industry experience, ideally in an awards, festivals, studio, network or agency setting. They will either have experience working in the awards space on submission paperwork, and if they do not, they will demonstrate a curiosity and eagerness to dive in and learn. Not mandatory but definitely a bonus if the candidate can speak other European languages (particularly Spanish).
