At Third Bridge, our clients consist of some of the largest private equity funds, hedge funds, mutual funds and management consulting firms, who are serviced by a team of over 1400 employees located across eight global offices. We are looking to hire an AVP Compliance based in London to join our growing Compliance team located across five offices. We are looking for a dynamic and detail oriented candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in finding innovative and timely solutions.
The AVP Compliance will manage a team of Compliance Associates based in London and Mumbai, and report directly to the Global Head of Compliance. They will also work closely with the senior members of the Legal and Compliance team, including the CCO and General Counsel, Compliance Operations and Audit as well as stakeholders throughout the business to support, evaluate and enhance current programmes. This person will be a self-starter who is motivated by contributing directly to the success of the company, and seeing through change to play a key role in managing compliance related risk.

- Naturally curious to understand relevant policies and internal systems, to get to the heart of issues and find solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confident presenting to stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to navigate complex and competing goals and interests to achieve results
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of Compliance Associates and lead from the front
- Liaising with clients over email or telephone to handle compliance related introductions, questions or issues
- Be a main point of contact for stakeholders and clients in order to understand business and client needs as well as engage in conversations to further the compliance programme
- Manage compliance monitoring systems to ensure Third Bridge is compliant with applicable laws, internal compliance procedures and pre-agreed client specific processes
- Work closely with other functions including within Compliance, Product and Tech to find solutions and achieve shared goals including project work
- Work closely with Third Bridge’s Audit team to ensure compliance with policies/procedures and execute on recommendations
- Manage policy development and reviews to ensure materials are up to date and fit for purpose based on business and client needs
- Update and deliver Compliance Training to employees finding new and innovative ways to create a strong compliance culture
- Identify gaps and recommend improvements to business processes so that a strict compliance standard is maintained
- Undertake special projects related to issue management/ risk mitigation or as identified by senior management
- Lead regular team meetings and participate in stakeholder meetings as and when required
- Stay up-to-date with the latest compliance requirements and any relevant legislative changes.
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous compliance experience is necessary ideally within a regulated financial services company
- Experience managing a team is preferable but not required
