AV Technician/Engineer - Canary Wharf - £33,000 to £37,000
The Onsite AV Technician is a dedicated resource provided to customers to provide service support at a single site. The technician will be in seat at the customer premises to support the installed AV systems and system users at the site.
The role also includes break/fix support for functional AV issues as well well as daily room functionality checks.
The technician will have an excellent working knowledge of audio-visual equipment including display equipment, control systems and complex audio systems plus relevant communications protocols.
Responsibilities
- Fault finding & rectifying AV systems at the client site.
- Providing onsite technical and user support for system users to facilitate adoption of the new systems.
- Completing daily checks of rooms and spaces for system functionality checks. Raising, investigating and updating service tickets within the Web Portal.
- Providing updates to client contacts for any active or resolved tickets.
- Liaising with the service desk for any additional hardware support (e.g, RMAs, vendor support etc.)
- Reporting any escalated matters to the Technical Service Lead in a timely manner. Producing Technical Knowledge Base articles for troubleshooting based on issues raised during the support period.
Experience
- Experience of installing, commissioning and servicing commercial audio-visual systems including projection, flat panel, control systems, power amplifiers, DSP’s, audio / video matrix systems, digital and analogue signal transmission formats.
- Experience with Crestron NVX systems
