We are currently recruiting for Automotive Engineers to join a specialist project within a luxurious Automotive manufacturer in Warwick.
This project offers hybrid working and is initially a 6 month contract. There is a strong possibility of the role being extended past 6 months or for candidates to be taken on permanently.
What to expect:
As an engineer, you will be joining the PFEP Team (Plan for every part) and will be responsible for overseeing and assisting departments with the release of parts, ensuring they arrive in time for production builds. You will work closely with part suppliers and oversee the full process from CAD Design through to build, as well as reporting any problems along the way to a Senior Engineer.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Ensuring that the produced parts, meet the required specification.
- Ensuring all parts are conforming and raising investigations on non-conforming parts.
- Managing communications with suppliers.
- Populating data and carrying out regular reports
- Driving continuous improvement at all times
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Essential:
- Experience gained within a similar role - Eg, Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Project Engineer, NPI Engineer, Quality Technician etc.
- Experience within a similar industry to Automotive - Eg, Aerospace, Defence, Rail, Manufacturing.
- An understanding of engineering processes - Design through to build.
- The ability to read drawings and follow processes
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Desirable:
- Understanding of prototype engineering
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred.
