Automation Trainee Engineer - Installation and Service
Salary £22,672-£28,340 (basic plus paid travel) OTE £28,340-£31,174
This is a varied and interesting role within a medium sized family run business based in Cardiff that has been operating in the Automation, Fire & Security industry for over 30 years. Job Summary

· Reporting to Automation Manager & Operations Team Leader

· The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dedicated person who will assist engineers with the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair, and servicing of Automatic Doors, Gates, Bollards, Barriers, and Roller Shutters
· Ideally will have an interest in or some prior knowledge of the Automation industry
· Mechanically minded
· Initiative to drive own development and progression to become a fully-fledged Ceaton engineer
· To follow instructions and carry out ad-hoc tasks which will assist the lead engineer
Required Education, Skills & Qualifications
· Willingness to work and learn simultaneously.
· Basic understanding or interest of the Automation Industry, or any form of mechanical or engineering experience.
· Full UK driving licence.
· No criminal record.
· If successful, the candidate must complete, submit, and pass a full security vetting clearance.
· Be prepared to attend and undertake any relevant qualifications based on learnings.
· Well presented.
· Effective communication skills.
· Responsive to changing needs of the working environment.
· The successful candidate will be expected to build their own comprehensive range of non-specialist hand tools and equipment.
