Your new role:
As an Automation Engineer, you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the automotive & aerospace industry.
As an Automation Engineeryour main responsibilities will be:
- Planning, implementing, and monitoring new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence
- Using technology to improve, streamline and automate manufacturing
- Implementing robotic solutions and automatic assembly
- Liaising with technical stakeholders to ensure efficient project planning
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result-oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as an Automation Engineer and a consultant.
Experience required:
- Automotive, Automation or Industrial background
- Understanding of new technologies such as machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, ioT, PLC Programming, tool making and/or mobile applications
- Industrial implementation background and working with integrators – Industry 4.0
- Knowledge of RPA and Data collection methodologies
- Minimum 5 years of experience
Qualifications required:
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.

Salary: £33,685.72-£61,220.97 per year
