Job description

An exciting opportunity where your passion for the environment and numbers meet!

We are Toit? Envirocare (Enviro-Mark Solutions Limited), and chances are you've already interacted with our brands— Toit? carbonzero, Toit? carbonreduce, or Toit? enviromark. You may have enjoyed carbonzero certified Yealands Wine or Steinlager Beer, eaten enviromark Certified Abe's Bagels, cleaned using enviromark Certified Eco Store products or at least know friends or family who have. You may have wondered at times how organisations like Kathmandu, The Warehouse Group and Canterbury University manage their carbon emissions. The short answer: it's our people. We are proudly New Zealand's leading carbon reduction solution; however, our work isn't done yet! Our aim is to encourage more organisations to start their journey with us to make New Zealand and the world more sustainable.

Intrigued?

We are looking for an auditor to join our enthusiastic team of auditors who are ensuring our clients are minimising their carbon footprint and related environmental impacts on the environment. You will work along with the lead auditor to perform audits in line with our Toit? Carbon programmes. We are seeking an individual with strong critical thinking and evaluation skills. The job is flexible with opportunity to work remotely, at an office, with travel from time to time. You will also support the Lead Audit manager in delivering various types of auditing projects and assist in providing training materials for the client delivery team.

Experience requirements:

  • Preferably at least 2 years work experience in financial auditing or certification systems or environmental auditing.
  • Have a background in environmental management and/or GHG emissions management will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with sustainability issues for a range of sectors.
  • Are a strong team player with great communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Skilled in Microsoft excel and word at intermediate level.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple audits during a week.
  • Full NZ drivers licence.

This role is permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) and will be based at our Wellington site.
