Audit Manager - Rugby - Up to £65K ( Depending on experience)
A Practice opportunity for a qualified Audit Manager with a top independent firm. Dealing with the audit and accounting requirements for a portfolio of SME businesses.

This is a management role which will combine client portfolio and staff management, where you will be the first port of call for clients and be an integral part of mentoring junior staff as they come through.

Audit Manager Role
To manage the delivery of high quality Audit (and related accountancy) services to a portfolio of clients, overseeing the service delivery of the team and proactively handling client relationships.
Key Responsibilities of Audit Manager
- Lead the planning and delivery of audits for a portfolio of clients and specialist assignments, co-ordinating all relevant input to meet client needs, compliance standards and budget.
- Lead team planning meetings ensuring all relevant parties attend and fees and opportunities are considered and agreed
- Set the field work standards and monitor team activity to ensure all audit testing is delivered on time and documented to company standard, providing appropriate coaching and feedback as necessary.
- Prepare technically complete and accurate sets of accounts for concurring review, which reflect the figures available from the field-work and are final except for review points.
- Review the complete file and hold planning and clearance meetings with the client ensuing finalised accounts are issued promptly and in line with clients’ requirements.
- Undertake hot file reviews of assignments undertaken by the Assistant Managers to ensure compliance and quality standards maintained.
- Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities (project work) to increase income and client satisfaction.
Experience Required for Audit Manager:
- ACA (or equivalent) and ongoing CPD.
- Normally at least 2 years post qualification experience within an audit environment or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, experience and competency has been gained.
- Owner-Managed Business background, with sector specialism of benefit.
