Why this job matters
This job has a key focus on ensuring all requirements for audits (BTSECS, ICOFR, DCR, GDPR, EDR) are complied with across the mainframe and application estate. This role will also manage the access control team across a number of key critical mainframe applications.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for ensuring all potential audits are performed on the mainframe and applications. Ensuring all regulatory and DCR commitments are upheld, including all relevant markers and training
- Agree all audit activities across mainframe and application estate.
- Engage with BT and Partner teams to agree audit timescales and drive completion to ensure compliance.
- Manage and drive to completion all activities to ensure conformance to DCR commitments.
- Management of access control team (CSS, NJR, COSMOSS, CAMSS)
You'll have the following skills and experience
- Experience of managing audits and compliance assurance in a large mainframe environment
- Experience of leading teams of people (directly or via matrix) to deliver audit compliance on mainframe environments
- Knowledge of BT audit procedures and policies. Knowledge of DCR commitments, agreements and policies.
- Knowledge of processes and procedures to ensure compliance
- The ability to build a strong and effective network of relationships that can be exploited to ensure that issues get resolved quickly
- A clear understanding of the business imperatives and how they align with the wider company strategy.
- Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills coupled with a growth mentality and a desire to collaborate effectively with key business and technology partners across the company
- Mainframe infrastructure / security – Knowledge of mainframe infrastructure and how security is implemented
- Access control – Knowledge of access control and audit / logging capabilities.
- Mainframe – Experience in many areas of mainframe, including environment, infrastructure, database and network.
- Security controls - Experience in implementing and adhering to security controls.
