Hours: Rostered working pattern, typically averaging 40 hours per week over the course of the year
Salary: £32,000, annual bonus (non-contractual), Merlin Magic Pass – 20 free tickets to our attractions rising to 40 after a year’s service

What the job of an Audio-Visual Engineer involves;
We are currently recruiting for an Audio-Visual Engineer at the home of thrilling rides, attractions, live events & a themed hotel. Reporting into our Head of Electrical Engineering, you’ll support the growing technical needs of the Resort, with particular focus on rides and attractions, which rely heavily on audio/visual technology. As one of our two AV Engineers within the Technical Services team, you’ll support all aspects of show control, IP systems, virtual reality, lighting, sound, video, CCTV and associated software and hardware. This includes planned preventative maintenance routines, to actively troubleshoot and repair show systems, to minimise downtime whilst maximising the guest experience, throughput and KPI scores. You’ll also play an active role in the Technical Services department, with wider park systems such as Park Wide Sound, Park Wide Lighting, and distributed ride and attraction AV.
We are looking for the following skills and experience;
- Experience in 70v and 100v line PA systems, as well as standard low impedance
- Working knowledge of Bose Control Space and QSC Q-SYS core controllers, in a networked environment
- Use of VLAN and WLAN protocols and automated devices
- Working knowledge of remote desktop and VNC remote access systems
- Experience with IP, POE, and analogue CCTV camera monitoring systems
- Experience of Show Controllers (Medialon) and distributed lighting control (Pharos) systems
- Familiarity and working knowledge of distributed show control systems like DMX and Artnet within a multiple universe environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills in both extra low voltage and low voltage systems
- Working knowledge of BS7671 Electrical Installations Regulations as a minimum, with desire to achieve latest edition certification
- Experience of different communication protocols and systems like Ethernet, Serial, WiFi
