Job description
We are looking for a competent AV Installation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years on-site experience. Applicants must have demonstrable experience in all types of 1st and 2nd fix AV installation and should be able to carry out these tasks to an exceptionally high standard with or without direct supervision.
Working closely with the senior management team and reporting directly to our Operations Director, the ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running. You will be helping to deliver a wide variety of audio visual technologies for our clients so a good understanding of current soft and standards based VC & UC solutions and IP audio and video distribution technologies is expected.
You should be able to professionally communicate with end users, clients and external stakeholders along side providing accurate and timely reports to the Operations Director on the status of your projects.

Please note this position is not suitable for someone with only a live events or audio engineering back ground. You must have demonstratable skills with installed AV systems and UC technology.
Required Skill Set
- The ability to read, understand and follow cable schedules, block schematics and set out drawings.
- Installation of all types of LV cable and containment to current BS:7671 standards.
- Sound knowledge of construction materials and processes to allow for safe installation of hardware components up to 200Kg.
- Cable Termination an Testing.
- Rack wiring and cable looming.
- Functional testing and configuration of a variety of AV and UC systems from leading vendors such as Poly, Cisco, Logitech and Yealink.
- AVoIP Video and Audio Standards.
- Experience of large format Direct View LED displays is advantageous.
- Good practical level of IT knowledge - Windows OS / Microsoft O365 / Teams
- Understanding of network topology and TCP/IP addressing.
- Full UK Driving licence - please note applicants must have held a full licence for 4 year and have less than 6 penalty points on their licence for insurance purposes.
- Current Baseline and/or SC clearance. Due to the nature of our work all applicants must be willing to undergo vetting for BPSS as a minimum.

- Recognised manufacturer training/accreditations - AMX, Audinate, Bi-amp, Crestron, Cisco, Extron, Microsoft, Poly, Shure.
- HND / HNC in a relevant engineering discipline.
Based in central Scotland, you will at times also be required to work throughout the UK and Europe for short periods of time. You will be compensated in addition to your salary whilst away from home.

- Salary Range - £24,000.00 - £32,000.00 DoE
