Job Title: Audio Typist

What you’ll be responsible for:

· To perform a full range of typing and administrative duties effectively and efficiently

· To type letters relating efficiently and accurately to patients’ clinic appointments, test results, referrals, and discharge summaries from audio, digital or longhand dictation in compliance with Directorate policies and procedures

· Access the PAS (Lorenzo) to access and update information

· Use appropriate electronic systems in place to store data, lists, correspondence in line with Directorate procedures

· Comply with Data Protection Act, Access to Health Records Act and related Acts, Health, and Safety procedures.

· Comply with policies on Confidentiality, Code of Conduct, E-mail, Internet use and Information Security

· To undertake any further duties as required by the Typing Team Lead.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written

· Excellent organisation skills

· Previous experience in similar/ administration role

· Previous NHS experience

· Excellent Typing skills

· Excellent IT skills
