Were growing rapidly and as a result were looking for an Audio Manager to join our studio in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside. As an Audio Manager at Double Eleven, youll be responsible for audio team allocation across all our current projects, progression frameworks, hiring, training and personal development of audio team members, assisting with budgeting and scheduling milestones. You will be a champion for great audio across all of our games and have a clear vision for the future. This is a hands off role, so you wont be involved in the day-to-day creation of a project's audio, instead this will be all about being business facing, improving & standardising processes, internal team and outsource management.

Youll have a proven track record in managing an audio team or good experience gained from a Lead Audio role looking to move up into a full management position. Its essential you have a proven track record within the video game's industry.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

  • Managing audio team allocation across all current projects
  • Help shape and build our internal audio team and facilities organically
  • Set out a strategy and roadmap and report progress to senior management and the board
  • Working with production and design to create estimates for the work to be done on each project
  • Advising on the 'make or buy' and internal / outsource production decisions for audio
  • Supporting the information flow between the internal team and our outsource partners, including the briefing of those partners, and effective delivery and integration of the work supplied
  • Helping to evolve our audio team progression frameworks
  • Identifying skills shortages across the audio department and formulating a plan to fill them
  • Interviewing and hiring of new audio designers at all levels
  • Personal development of the internal audio team department members
  • Assisting with budgeting and requirements for new content or extended scope on current projects
  • One to Ones with the audio team
  • Improving and standardising processes for tracking success
  • Working with academia and training institutions to develop pipelines of future talent and course content
  • Representing the company and speaking at events

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

  • Strong audio background in the video games industry
  • Proven track record as a manager or lead audio
  • Experience of managing relationships with and delivery by external partners
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both up and down stream
  • Ability to motivate and able to lead by example
  • Excellent time management, multitasking skills and the ability to process complex information efficiently
