At 2020 Recordings we are specialists in all aspects of voice production, music and sound design. With 25 years of experience, we are a community of experts from different industries working across audiobooks, games, music and creative audio projects. Based at our studios in Tileyard, Kings Cross, we have an eclectic and friendly team and we’re looking for a new member.
The ideal candidate for this role is excited about what we do, who we are and is ready to be a part of our growing business. This Audio Engineer role will be mostly working in the audiobook department so a keen interest in audiobooks, voice-led audio content and storytelling is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
- Post-production on voiceover projects, ranging from dialogue editing to sound design, mixing and mastering across audiobooks, audio drama, podcasts, educational audio, video games, commercials and more.
- Working within the engineering team to ensure projects are completed to the highest quality and to deadline.
- Assisting with technical support in studios to ensure sessions run as smoothly as possible.
- Engineer studio sessions across audiobooks, audio drama, commercials, educational audio, ADR, video games, wild dialogue and more.
- Prepare studio sessions’ assets such as audio and video reference files and dialogue scripts.
- Maintain studios and studio equipment as needed.
- Develop studio services, processes, and workflow as part of the engineering team.
Requirements
- Experienced user of Pro Tools and studio audio equipment.
- 100% comfortable with and enthused by audio technologies.
- Excellent client facing and internal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Both a self-starter, able to work alone and as a team player. Able to help at all levels to get the job done.
- An outgoing and approachable attitude, and the ability to work with a wide range of different talent and clients.
- A good level of competence with computers, including file management (preferably on MacOS), Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suites
Preferred Candidate Criteria
- Experience working as an engineer in a post production facility or recording studio, ideally working with dialogue in a recording and editing capacity.
- Experience in a professional setting using audio post-production software to repair and edit voiceover and other audio.
- Working knowledge of mixing and mastering to loudness specifications and audio specs.
The role is offering an annual salary of £28,000 - £31,000 depending on experience.
