Auction House - Saleroom Assistant
Due to recent expansion we have an exciting opportunity for an
intelligent, hardworking and committed individuals to work within a well
established Bristol auction house.
The successful candidates will be exposed to all areas of the auction
business and will quickly be expected to take on responsibility.
The role will involve:
- Co-ordinating the smooth administration of our clients' items, pre and
post-sale – from consignment to payment and dispatch.
- Assisting with the preparation of online auction catalogues -
photography and image editing
- Maintaining a presentable saleroom
- Viewing and sale day roles
- Collating, picking and packing lots for dispatch
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities:
· Good customer service skills
· Impeccable attention to detail Excellent organisational skills
· Quick to learn with drive and determination with the desire to
progress within the auction industry.
· Experience in handling jewellery, silver and decorative arts is
an advantage but not essential.
· An interest or experience in photography will be an advantage,
but training will be provided.
· A positive working attitude, who can bend and flex with the
needs of a busy auction schedule supporting the sale leaders at all
stages.
· Good written and spoken English,
· Good computer and internet skills,
Pay rate dependent on experience, with excellent potential for
progression after an initial trial period to a permanent position.
Additional Information: Hours: Monday to Friday (9am to 5:30pm)
Occasional extra hours required as and when required (as to the needs of
the business).
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
