Laboratory Technician (Industrial Quality / QC Team)

Are you someone who is passionate about manufacturing quality control, product testing and customer satisfaction?

As a Lab Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the highest possible levels of quality in our products. Your work will be based on sampling and testing predominantly finished products and some raw materials against pre-determined testing processes to ensure that our products are meeting required standards and approving product batches for release to our customers. You will be recording all of your work and testing results in Microsoft tools such as Excel while communicating with the wider team to approve products or communicate failures in testing where applicable. This is a role that requires good planning and prioritisation skills, supported by good communication skills with a reasonable level of ability in IT such as Microsoft packages.

Formula is one of 30 Saint-Gobain brand’s, a leading manufacturer and supplier of gypsum and industrial plaster products supplied by the bag, the pallet, or tanker for a range of applications to multiple industries.

This is a full time position based at our Newark facility, working days Monday to Friday with some Sunday working.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in testing materials or products in an industrial QC laboratory would be a great advantage.
• Someone that can follow safe working practices including small safety audits and risk assessments. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do.
• An ability to manage and prioritise your own work, great organisation skills.
• A strong communicator.
• An ability to work with Microsoft Office packages, record your work, and report results as required.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities
