Excellent opportunity for an Auction Administrator to join an international auction house. We especially welcome applicants who have experience of working within an auction environment.
Aim of Role: To provide full administration support to the auction team in Spink Collectables
Main responsibilities:
- Registration
- Account merges
- Maintenance of web database and back end database of various platforms
- Client communication – Buyers and Vendors
- Send pre-sale advices and payment instructions to vendors
- Process returned pre-sale advices
- Client statistics
- Create sale and post on internal calendar, website, Spink Live, etc.
- Calendar for Insider magazine
- Checks before upload and going live
- Transmit to printers and checks to be carried out
- Proof reading and corrections for standing pages
- Arrange production of adverts
- Catalogue subscriptions
- Catalogue requests
- Send catalogues to vendors with relevant paperwork
- Generate mailing lists for all categories
- Specialised interest lists
- Combine with Insider mailing list
- Preparation of viewing forms and Auction viewing
- Processing bids
- Operating Spink Live
- Clerking
- Phone bidding
- Sale statistics
- Generate and send invoices and sale results
- Breaking sales
- Packing and sending lots
Essential skills
Previous experience of working in an auction house
Microsoft Excel

Other information:
Foreign travel may be required to administrate sales abroad.
Only those with appropriate UK visa/settlement status to work in the UK will be considered.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
