This position offers a 2-year Training Contract. This role would preferably suit someone who has completed their LPC. Considering the SQE route? We are open to discussions regarding part time studying alongside this role.

We are a niche solicitors practice with offices in Bradford and Keighley. We provide expert legal advice to families and individuals. We cover a range of family and wills and probate services including child abduction, cohabitation/prenups, divorce and financial settlements, domestic violence, children’s issues, forced marriages, social services, wills & probate, inheritance claims, court of protection, powers of attorney.

Our Opportunity

A 2-year Training Contract where you will be part of the family law team currently consisting of 12 other lawyers. You will have support in building your own case load and learning all aspects of family law including divorce, ancillary relief, children matter, financial matters, injunctions, non-molestations and forced marriage protection orders. You will provide a supporting role to the existing family law team, take instructions, and learn how to deal with clients, particularly those in a vulnerable situation. You will manage your own files using our case management system. You will have ongoing training and development opportunities. You will be responsible for billing your files in order to achieve a bonus related target.

You

You will have a keen interest in family law. You will have your law degree and completed your LPC or willing undertake the SQE alongside this role. You will be organised and approach tasks with common sense, dealing with challenging situations in a calm but effective manner. We expect you to collaborate with colleagues to build relationships and case work.

We offer 24 days holiday increasing to 30 after 6 years’ service (1 extra day per year of service)

Sophisticated case management system, digital dictation to include speech recognition, and VOIP telephone system. A laptop will be provided to you.
