Randy Ai Law Office is a boutique labour and employment law firm based in downtown Toronto, predominantly servicing Plaintiffs and non-unionized individual employees. Although we are based in Toronto, we allow our lawyers to work from work and/or work remotely from anywhere in Canada, as long as they are licensed to practice law in the province of Ontario . Our areas of practice include wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, severance package reviews, employment contracts, human rights law, workplace bullying and harassment, disability law, and employment-related litigation.
We are presently seeking an employment lawyer, with at least two (2) years of experience in employment law. The successful candidate shall be hired on part-time, contract, and/or fee split basis.
Interested candidates must have the following credentials:
- Licensed to practice law in the province of Ontario;
- At least two (2) years of experience working in employment law;
- Experience calling prospective clients over the telephone;
- Ability to conduct initial in-person consultations and virtual consultations independently;
- Ability to manage clients, and to assume complete carriage over a file;
- Extensive experience drafting demand letters;
- Extensive experience drafting pleadings, including Statements of Claim, unjust dismissal complaints under the Canada Labour Code, and human rights applications before the HRTO;
- Experience negotiating with opposing counsel; and
- Experience with mediations and settlement conferences.
The following credentials are not mandatory, but shall be an asset:
- Experience independently conducting Examinations for Discovery
- Experience independently conducting a hearing or trial

Although our law firm is based in Toronto, members of our team can work remotely from anywhere in the world, as long as they are licensed to practice law in Ontario.
