Job description
Are you passionate about inclusion and looking for a role where you can make a difference to young people lives?
We are looking to recruit two Attendance Inclusion Officers to work with children, families and schools to improve the attendance of vulnerable young people in Croydon.
You will manage a caseload and be expected to work with the young person, their family and the school to improve their engagement in education. As well as casework with individual young people you will also find yourself working with schools to support them on improving their whole school attendance practice. Experience of working with vulnerable young people and schools is essential and would particularly welcome applications from those with experience of primary schools and/or alternative provision. One of the positions will have a specific focus on young people who are being educated in alternative provision.
These posts are located within the Access to Education team. We are a multidisciplinary team with expertise in school attendance; exclusions, missing from education; licensing; elective home education; and fair access. If you are looking for an opportunity to develop as an inclusion professional then this may be the opportunity for you.
This post is a full-time permanent position, for further information or to ask any questions please contact: Mark Malcolm (Strategic Lead Inclusion, Attendance & Early Help) on 07710183652.
Closing date: Friday 25th August 2023 @ 11.59pm
