Job description

The Astrophoria Foundation Year seeks to appoint a full-time Foundation Year Administrative Assistant to join the small team delivering the new Astrophoria Foundation Year.
The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and essential programme support for the implementation and smooth running of this programme. This will include financial administration including financial processing, delivery of student grants, responding to financial enquiries and assisting in monthly and quarterly reporting. In relation to HR administration this will include the processing of academic and casual workers contracts and HR processes. In addition, the post holder will have responsibility for general administration for the programme including managing correspondence, arranging and taking minutes at meetings, supporting with timetabling and room bookings.
You will possess excellent organisational skills, great attention to detail, strong IT competency in Excel and Word, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to juggle a number of priorities and work under pressure and to a deadline when required. You will enjoy working as part of a team as well as have the ability to take initiative, with a flexible and resilient approach to work.
The Astrophoria Foundation Year is a one-year fully-funded foundation programme for UK state school students with significant academic potential, who have experienced severe personal disadvantage and/or disrupted education which has resulted in them being unable to apply directly for an Oxford undergraduate degree programme.
The post is full-time (1 FTE).
Fixed term contract until 31 July 2028
