HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic securities services (SSv) products and sits within HSBC’s Global Banking & Markets (GBM) business.
SSv works with corporate and institutional clients and is critical in supporting and growing the SSv business, Wealth is one of MSS Global growth pillars and is organised as a Global vertical serving Institutional clients for their investment needs.
We are currently seeking an individual to join our Institutional Sales team in the role of Associate, Wealth Sales
The primary purpose will be to sell cross Asset Derivatives products to Institutional Wealth clients in the UK and Switzerland.
This is an office-based role and works at our offices at 8 Canada Square, London.
In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain client relationships with Private Banks and Wealth Managers, providing them with derivatives ideas and solutions to satisfy their investment needs.
- Leverage on our competitive platform to reinforce existing strong partnerships.
- Participate to the whole trade life cycle: term-sheet generation, pricing, booking, secondary market, after-trade follow up.
- Actively seek new client origination
- Accountable for sales targets associated with their portfolio
- Ensure strong involvement, commitment & regular updates on regulatory aspects of the business (Distribution Policy Committee, Tax, Legal, Compliance) by maintaining regular communication with relevant teams.
- Work in line with all HSBC Group Policies, regulatory requirements and HSBC Global Standards at all time.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following
- In-depth knowledge of Derivative Asset Classes or other Securities Services products
- Experience of managing high net worth (HNW) corporate clients
- Evidence of organically developing existing organic growth and new origination client base
- Detailed understanding of commercial and contractual obligations with an ability to successfully incorporate these into complex legal and commercial negotiations
- Tenacity & drive to achieve personal goals whilst contributing to the wider team aims
- Extremely strong written and oral communication skills
