What is the opportunity?

Within the Associate position you will provide an excellent level of service to our clients in order to support with the development of profitable new business for Wealth Management – International (WM-I) and the wider RBC organization, whilst retaining AUM / Revenue for WM-I.

What will you do?

  • Deliver an unrivalled client experience and support Relationship Managers (RM) in delivering new and sustainable revenues for WMI in line with the Sales & Relationship Management (S&RM) Sales Methodology
  • Act as a point of contact to internal partners and clients, providing full expert support and assistance with day to day banking and administration requirements
  • Learn about the RM sales methodology throughout the lifecycle of the client relationship, including fundamentals of working with potential clients and building trust with those clients for a successful relationship. Gain an understanding of client needs, delivering tailored insight and solutions and how to maintain and grow client relationships
  • Act as the first line of defence relating to key activities and ensure any associated requests are dealt with in a compliant manner. Act as a point of escalation to resolve issues and escalate/report all risk events and near misses immediately
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures including the regulatory requirements on a day-to-day basis to ensure business requirements are being met at all times as part of the Culture of Excellence
  • Collaborate with business partners and support the Associate Team Leaders by providing timely feedback about training needs to enhance and support client service and by identifying inefficiencies to internal processes and making appropriate recommendations to rectify them

Learning and mastering the basics of this role will enable you to follow a development pathway of becoming a Relationship Manager or a part of the Leadership team within Client Management

  • Experience working within a matrix organisation – managing internal relationships and influencing partners
  • A proven track record in a Client Experience Role and desire to transfer skills developed to a Wealth Management Role - training will be provided to right the candidate
