What to Expect

The Associate Real Estate Manager will be responsible for the management of the existing portfolio and will also assist in the acquisition of new properties. The existing portfolio requires strategic management in order to ensure the portfolio is profitable, efficient and suitable for our needs. This person will also play an important role in sourcing new properties, negotiating leases / licences and presenting business cases to executive management for approval. The Real Estate Specialist will work very closely with our Construction and Design team and our Market Expansion team striving to open locations on time and under budget. We are seeking someone who has an analytical and strategic real estate background. Ideally, they will have worked for a premium retail /automotive brand or brokerage firm and understands the dynamics of the entire property development life cycle.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the existing portfolio which will include tasks, such as lease extensions, lease regears, executing break options, remodels, expansions, sub-lettings / assignments and lease terminations
  • Work alongside the Market Expansion team in order to identify new target locations
  • Source, visit, inspect and present new opportunities to the Market Expansion team
  • Work alongside Project Managers in establishing required Landlord works
  • Work alongside the Construction and Design team in preparing and presenting new location business cases for executive management approval
  • Negotiate Heads of Terms in partner with outside brokers
  • Negotiate Leases and Licences in partner with outside solicitors
  • Manage existing external relationships with brokers, solicitors and landlords
  • Work closely with in-house Project Managers, Design Managers, Accounting, Legal and Finance throughout the development life cycle of the portfolio
  • Deal with ad-hoc Real Estate related projects or queries
  • Be point of contact for Tesla Country Directors on real estate matters
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor and/or Master degree in relevant area of study or the equivalent in experience
  • Minimum of three years within commercial brokerage or client-side real estate (preferably automotive or retail)
  • Strong team player and effective communicator
  • Exceptional ability to gather, analyse and present executive level reports
  • Fluency in English required
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
  • Valid clean driving licence
