Main duties of the job
The postholder will have specific responsibility for the management of women recalled to assessment following their breast screening appointment. This involves working closely with clinical admin booking teams, Clinical coordinator, Clinical assistants, Clinical Nurse specialists (CNS), Radiographers, Clinicians, and members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
The role involves ensuring patients are supported through all aspects of the recall to assessment process, escalating any issues and highlighting any delays which may affect the patient experience. The post holder will work within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) contributing to the effective development of high quality and timely service throughout the patient’s journey within the breast screening service. The duties include assisting the Breast Care Nursing team to facilitate the MDT meeting, carrying out pre and post meeting administration and data entry.

- Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.

- Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate.
- Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information.
