We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Associate eFX Sales
A high-level overview of the role is: Associates are responsible for instilling confidence across voice sales and trading, clients, partners, and the broader e-FX marketplace. Associates need to understand the complexity of eFX in relation to pricing and be able to communicate that to internal and external clients and partners. They must also understand the strategic plan and be able to communicate it effectively. The role holder will also ensure the HSBC values are present in everything they do, both individually and as an organisation. The role is office-based, working at HSBC offices at Canada Square, London. You should reside within a reasonable travelling distance and be able to work in London on a full-time basis
In this role you will
- Grow a portfolio of Institutional and Corporate clients for eFX with a strong focus on Evolve and analytics
- Sell the full electronic offering across all products and additional products e.g. analytics
- Originate direct trading relationships to increase volume and profitability from spot FX to options
- Develop strong relationships with voice sales and trading team
- Review performance of existing clients and seek ways to positively impact those relationships in order to Increase market share and maximise revenue
Working with Operations to resolve Legal & Client documentation/onboarding issues
To be successful you should meet the following requirements
- Essential to have a solid understanding of G10 or EM traded FX or other Fixed Income assets
- Strong quantitative and data analyst skills ideally with experience in markets pricing mechanisms
- Masters’ level qualification in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, physics, computer science and have advanced Excel VBA or Python programming skills
- Excellent relationship management skills across internal and external stakeholders with an ability to engender trust and confidence
- Good knowledge of financial services Risk & Governance and the appropriate controls used in a Front Office environment
- Strong written and oral communication
